Tickle Me Tuesday: Handmade

With present-focused holidays so close, I've been an etsy madwoman. Seriously, that website is freakin' dangerous. Its a good thing I have no money, or I'd spend it all on etsy.

On the other hand, a little window shopping never hurt anyone. Right?

Here's what's been catching my eye this week:

Lisa Leonard Whoo do you love? necklace. Owls are so inspirational, don't you think? Patient, wise, but strong and ready to seize an opportunity.

I'm a sucker for mugs. I've thinned out my collection, but I could drink coffee out of a different mug every morning for 2-3 weeks. Wouldn't this be a wonderful addition?

OMG. A necklace out of a Correlle plate?! Yes, please!

Can you stand the adorableness? I don't have kids, but I do know a soon-to-arrive newly arrived! little boy who might need this in his nursery. I mean, really, how could you not? {Also, this is probably why I'm not a parent. The kid would have way too much stuff}.

What's tickling your fancy, lately?

Tickle Me Tuesday: Road Trip Addition

Have you ever been on a road trip? I've been on very few, and never really by myself. Well, friends. It is surely an adventure. I won't tell you where I am at the moment, but I will say that it took two solid driving days to get here. TWO. Bymyself.

It's not as bad as I thought it would be, but I do have a few things that I am just *tickled* that they're available. I don't know if I could do this without them!

Coffee. Hot, cold, who cares? Yay caffeine! And speaking of caffeine:

Inside that cup is 3/4 Diet Dr. Pepper and 1/4 regular Dr. Pepper. It makes a darn good approximation of Dr. Pepper 10. Yum. Of course, I usually prefer Chick-fil-a. I tried McDonald's last night and....yuck. Much better service at Chick-fil-a!

Can I just say how the heck did I not like audiobooks before? I mean, really. I've already finished two, and I'm on my third. Free driving entertainment, people {courtesy of the library}. Also, did you know that Cracker Barrel loans out audiobooks and games? I'm going to stop into one on the way home and see what that's all about?

Annnd, now is where I thank high heaven for my GPS.

Even though I kind of felt like this last night, the GPS was right all along.

P.S. Don't forget that I have a giveaway running right now, and no one has entered yet! Your chances of winning are very good!

Tickle Me Tuesday: Week #2

Why hello there! I had so much fun with Tickle Me Tuesday from Yes, Teacher last week that I thought I might come back this week!

The weather is still about 75 here in Houston {fall? anyone? McFly?}, so no cozy winter things, really. On the one hand I'm loving that I don't have to have a whole bunch of different clothes. The ones I have can easily be layered when the whether gets "chilly" {aka in the 50's. Yes, I know all you people north of or in the general vicinity of the Mason-Dixon line are laughing at me}, and I just have no need of a winter coat.

In lieu of what I hoped would be a post full of cozy scarves and blankets, here's what's tickling my fancy this week:

I've been waiting for YEARS for this book, and I'm savoring the end to the Inheritance Cycle {aka, Eragon series}.

This stuff is wonderful. When I get a fountain Dr. Pepper {which is better than bottled or canned, IMO} I ask for mostly Diet with a little bit of regular to take off the fake sugar taste. This stuff? Tastes like the way I make it. *Love* As a side note, I don't know what they're little "No Girls Allowed" campaign is about. What is this? 1st grade? Cooties? Didn't we all get shots for that?

My Gussy kindle case. I tried to get a {much better} picture off of her shop site, but she appears to have discontinued this particular pattern, so this one is from my dining room. My camera is being weird lately, so it looks extremely poorly lit and grainy. ::sigh:: However I'm happy that I jumped and got one of these when I did!

Certainly not least! I cannot wait to make some pumpkin spice muffins and share the recipe!

P.S. I'm also blogging over at Diana's blog with a book review later today! Yay!

Tickle Me Tuesday: Week #1

I'll admit I've been in a slump. I can't figure out what to write, and when I DO find something it all just seems so serious. I hate serious except in the most necessary circumstances. I've been known to chatter and joke through synagogue services {um, did I just say that?}. So, to lighten things up a bit, I'm participating in Tickle Me Tuesday with Sarah from Yes, Teacher!

What's been tickling my fancy lately?

Well.....

Peppermint mochas from Starbucks. Even though I really like to shop at independent coffee houses, these babies have a place in my heart. I know, I know, they have peppermint all year-round. But, isn't so much better to drink these when it's cold near Christmas?

Lots and lots of books. I cannot seem to restrain myself! I have a pile on my nightstand, a pile on my floor, a queue on my Kindle, and a list of requests at the library. Oy!

These lovely vintage pyrex cups from The Blue Eyed Owl. Aren't they wonderful? Hopefully I'll have an apartment soon so I can start to collect pyrex again! P.S. Did you know that she has a sale going on right now? Head over to her blog and check out the side bar for a discount code!

Adorable and warm-looking fingerless gloves. These look so cute, and I just wish it was cold enough here to wear them! One day!
