Book Swap (and a winner)!

Goodness, I love me a good book swap. Of course, for me, that usually means I steal books off of my friends shelves and then they have to call and harass me for them back. One time, a good friend loaned me Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card and then had to by himself another copy because I kind of....kept it. And read it over, and over, and over.

Thank goodness for the digital age where if you loan a book to someone via Kindle, the book comes back after two weeks. Nope, doesn't matter if you were still reading it. AND, it also makes it super easy to buy books for new blog friends you meet in an online book swap.

For this one, organized by Heather at Blonde, Undercover Blonde and Katie from The Nerdy Katie I was paired with Cassie from Blue Jeans and Flip Flops {coincidence that we both love flip flops? I think not...}. She and I? Do not have the same taste in books. At. All {although, I might have a series for you Cassie...I'll send you an e-mail!}.

I'm sure we were each looking at the other's Goodreads accounts and thinking, "oh goodness, what do I even get her?" We both have read extensively in our respective genres and didn't want to duplicate on accident. So, we decided to send each other books that we loved and would pick for ourselves.

This is what she sent me.....

.....and I'm loving it! I'd hoped to have it read by today so that I could do a full review, but as you know, life happens {and the children you're sitting for don't sleep....} and I'm only about halfway there.

Let me just say that it really pushes all of my buttons. A good crime mystery {fast paced, with a not-obvious ending}, romance, seduction, well-written steamy parts {you get my drift?}. It's exactly like the NCIS fanfiction I tend to gravitate towards {did I just admit that I read smutty fanfiction? Yes, I just went there}. It was a great choice, and I'm pretty excited about finishing it {and then finishing all of my other books so I can justify buying more of this series!}.

Thanks, Cassie!

To see all of the other Book Swap entries head over to Blonde, Undercover Blonde or The Nerdy Katie to see of the entries!

P.S. The winner of $25 to Target is....

Y'all, that's Heather! Our Host for the Bookswap! Look for a message from me, chica, and a heartfelt thank you to everyone who entered and follows! Much love from me.

  1. Girl, there are books aplenty in this series so you should be in book heaven! I know I was when I stumbled upon Karen Rose. She is SO good! Good thing about this series is that you don't have to read them in order to understand who connects with what and all that. Totally OK to be read as a stand-alone. Although, I'm tickled that you want to read more!

Glad you're enjoying your book!! And, yes, please send me an e-mail. I'm all for potential new reads! :-)
