Well, this is one of those posts that's better late than never. A few weeks ago {aka, before I came to China} I was in New York. And Philadelphia. But, mainly New York. I was excited to be there because originally I was supposed to be in China and my parents were going to visit my sister right after I left. But, because of a few mishaps {due to FedEx, awful company, not because of any other problems} my departure was pushed back and I got to go!
We spent time exploring my sister's neighborhood in Brooklyn, went to a Mets game {and by some miracle, the Astros won that one!} went to Philly to see the historical stuff that my dad and I like so much, going to Coney Island and riding a pretty awesome Ferris Wheel, and seeing most of my other relatives that live up that way {there's a pretty large contingent!}.
It was a great weekend. The weather was beautiful, the family was hilarious and loud {we're SO entertaining!} and it made me excited to live in a big, vibrant city again {now that I'm here, I'm still SO excited!}.
