Thanksgiving Recap

I am so behind. Like, really. How did this happen? Perhaps because I took a road trip a few days after Thanksgiving? I'm just going to blame it on that and NOT on the fact that I've been lazy. Sounds believable, right?

This Thanksgiving, I was a big helper. I helped make the turkey and Nanny's german stuffing, and I also made Brioche Dinner rolls and mashed sweet potato casserole {yum}. It was a bit tiring but also exhilarating. I've never been allowed to help that much!

Here's a picture of Mom squeezing water out of the bread {sounds gross, is gross, but makes a TO-DIE-FOR stuffing}.

And Nanny stirring the onions and butter {which the weird water-squeezed bread gets dumped into}.

Of course, the obligatory picture of Dad cutting the turkey:

And the table with Nanny and Grandpa {opposite sides of the family; not married}:

It was a wonderful Thanksgiving, and I even managed to get out to Black Friday at a decent hour {8am: no midnight craziness for this girl!} and score some great deals.

How are your holidays progressing?
